  1. We had to drive over to Walsall on Sunday to pick up a piece of furniture that we'd won on eBay so whilst we were in the West Midlands, we thought we'd pop to see a couple of National Trust gardens, and what lovely weather we had! We visited Baddesley Clinton and Packwood House which are only about five minutes away from each other. We'll start off with our photos from Baddesley Clinton which is a moated manor house near Warwick.

The gardens at BC were beautiful and we spotted lots of bees including bombus terrestris (buff-tailed bumblebee) and bombus lapidarius (red-tailed bumblebee) which you can see in the photos above!

We'll be sharing photos of more bees at our trip to Packwood in our next post. For more details on Baddesley Clinton, visit here.

  2. As you'll know if you saw our last blog post, we are members of the National Trust and we recently visited Canons Ashby in Northamptonshire. We were very lucky with the weather that day, it was like a freak Summer day in May! I spotted a lot of bumblebees, not really any honeybees or solitary bees though. The grounds were beautiful, lots of flower displays, wildflowers and vegetable patches!Canons Ashby National Trust
